JoinRats
JoinRats > Noses and Hiccups (and Some Bruxing Too), to Music. What can you do but film when the rats are happy, snuggled, and working those noses and hiccups to melt your heart?
JoinRats > SESSION 1c. Jerry appears to somewhat calm down.
JoinRats > SESSION 1b. Gwen begins to relate to Jerry more directly, and to talk about what she sees him doing and why she does what she does in response. Jerry seems to be trying to understand what Gwen wants.
JoinRats > SESSION 1a (of 3 sessions). Session 1 overall is mainly helping Jerry settle. He's nervous and not happy with Gwen. Gwen also doesn't quite know what she's doing and tends to talk without relating to Jerry closely.
JoinRats > (A) OPEN CAGE BASE. May add small, open container that you can reach into easily (to separate rats), to simulate a hidey box.
JoinRats > (C) STRANGE, NEUTRAL, SMALL CAGE WITH WALLS AND HAMMOCKS
JoinRats > "Sweet Unsettled Sevenee". When the rat doesn't want to snuggle with you... what then? The human can try to find a way to communicate better, the rat can continue to signal, "no want holdy me," and after several tries, let the rat be and come back to it later.
JoinRats > Karen helps Eleven, who has total hind-leg paralysis, chase feathers. He is bright, bold, and dedicated to hunt down those feathers. Even with no use of their hind legs, enrichment for these rats is so important to help keep their spirits up. Karen gives Eleven a "wheelbarrow" so he can move more like a normal rat in feather-hunting mode.
JoinRats > Wheelbarrowing a rat with hind-end paralysis. This helps the rat walk normally. He doesn't have to drag his back end with his front leg handpaws.
